Hollywood movie "I Am Legend", starring Will Smith in the lead, has been banned in China. Reportedly, China has imposed a temporary three-month ban on all American Films in order to boost China's film industry. "I Am Legend" is the fourth big-screen adaptation of Richard Matheson’s novel of the same name, which tells the story of one of the lone survivors of a deadly global Epidemic. Directed by Francis Lawrence, the movie hits the theatres in the U.S. on December 14, 2007. However, Will Smith is trying his best to get a different release date to release his film in China. Earlier, China had banned American films from releasing on holidays and during school breaks. The new sci-fi thriller will be released in Asia later this month.
