Super Man, Spider Man, Bat Man, He Man, Shakthi Man…the list of extra terrestrial men are endless…they have ruled children’s hearts and minds for years and cast a strong magical spell all over the earth.

But alas they are Super Heroes at whom our children gape in wonder…
So here comes a change from Pyramid Saimira in the form of a Super Woman, encompassing with her, nativity, culture, intelligence, humour and of course special powers.

“Super Sundhari”, the typical woman from an ordinary middle class Tamil family comes to pervade the households of Tamil Nadu with her agility and liveliness…
It is a children’s drama that comes to fill the gap left vacant by a dearth of quality, entertaining, kids’ shows.

The pooja of this new children’s daily was held on 2nd January 2008 in the presence of Mr. K.S. Srinivasan, Director, PSPL, Mrs. Subhaa Venakat, National Creative Head, Uma Riyaz, the protagonist and the cast and crew of “Super Sundhari”. It was held at the location set in Saligramam.

Director Mohan, famed for his work in churning out hilarious sitcoms, directs “Super Sundhari”. He was a part of popular projects such as “Chellamadi Nee Enakku”, and the trend-setting comedy serial “Chinna Paappa Periya Paappa”. Screenplay is by Writer Gopinath who has penned dialogues for the small screen aa well as the big screen.

The protagonist is none other than Uma Riyaz who shot to fame with her comical mimicry talent and the recent Jodi No. 1 dance show. Actress Nalini, Arvindh, Maran and poplular child artistes Shabia, Ashwin Nachiappan, Chanakya and Suchitra play the other main roles. This serial will come on air by the third week of January on Kalaignar TV.
