‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ Official Trailer

Insult to our Nation

Hello My Dear Friends, These pictures I am Publishing in my blog all shows the gross disrespect and insult to the Indian National flag by this so called 'spiritual leader' and self proclaimed 'GOD' Mataji Nirmala Devi.

This disrespect to our country's flag shows that she has definitely no respect or love for the country that gave her so much and her husband who was an IAS officer and chief of the SCI (he is seated next to her in the pics).... Such a shame.. I do urge and plead with all Indians who deeply love their country to forward the message of the photos to as many people as possible so that it does catch the eye of someone higher up in the Indian Govt who can really take some action against this cult.

Simran’s 14 Avatars

Pouring accolades prove that Tamilnadu’s biggest hype today is Simran’s brilliantly essayed 14 characters in the recent hit “Navavelli”. When it is deemed an achievement to enact dual roles in a single TV serial, the versatile actress Simran has simply donned 14 roles proving that acting runs in her veins.

“Simran Thirai” the mini-mega introduced to the small screen by Pyramid Saimira Productions International Ltd is on air from Monday to Friday on Jaya TV during the prime time 8.30.P.M. It is in the 5th story titled “Navavelli” the protagonist, imran has performed the 14 different roles.

Pyramid Saimira has entertained the TV viewers with a combination of diverse themes with “Simran Thirai” as each month’s story carries a different storyline, ranging from marriage and deceit, revenge and action, affection and rejection and now with “Navavelli” a spiritual journey. This format has undoubtedly brought in variety and excellence to the concept of mini-mega.

In “Navavelli” Simran appears as the Almighty Amman and her re-incarnations as earthly beings.

From a brave snake-charmer mesmerizing poisonous snakes to succumb to her tunes, an elegant flower-vendor, an intelligent soothsayer, a stylishly clad old-lady, a chattering auto driver reminding “Baasha” Rajinikanth, a colorfully dressed tribal lass from the mountains, a witty fortune-teller (Guguduppai Ponnu), an affluent society woman called Samayapuraththu Marilaxmi, a nurse from the Agraharam clan, Durga, the prisoner, a lower class servant armed with the apt Madrasi slang, a faithful devout fulfilling her vow by holding fire pots in her bare-hands and finally the ferocious Kaali in her Rudra Thaandavam, fighting the evil to protect her devotees, the actress has proved her that she is an connoisseur in the acting field.

Simran has indeed given a surplus of visual treat to her ardent fans. Accompanying her on this magnum opus were artistes O.A.K. Sundar, Anuradha Krishnamoorthy, Subbulaxmi and many others. It would not be wrong to justify that Simran Thirai is the best outlet for the actress’ talent.

Upcoming film ‘Blindness’

Blindness is an upcoming 2008 dramatic thriller film that is an adaptation of the 1995 novel of the same name by José Saramago about a society suffering an epidemic of blindness. The film is written by Don McKellar and directed by Fernando Meirelles with Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo as the stars. The novel's author originally refused to sell rights for a film adaptation, not wanting it to fall into the wrong hands. Meirelles was able to acquire rights with the condition that the film would be set in an unrecognizable city. The director chose São Paulo as the primary backdrop for Blindness, though scenes were also filmed in Ontario, Canada and Montevideo, Uruguay. With all the characters aside from Julianne Moore's character being blind, the cast was trained to simulate blindness. Meirelles also stylized the film to reflect the lack of point-of-view that the characters would experience. Blindness premiered as the opening film at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14, 2008, and the film is commercially scheduled for limited release in the United States on September 12, 2008.
