Women are believed or rather upheld to be all encompassing beings who can adjust, accommodate and adapt to every change in life. But it remains a question whether the same can be said of men.
In “Nettrikkkann” Simran essays the role of Kala, a young woman who gets pushed in to a situation to marry a man of her parents choice despite having a lover. After the initial haranguing Kala realizes her husband’s goodness and adapts to the new found life. As a happy life ensues Kala’s ex-lover enters the scene - but as a mentally disturbed patient and Kala’s husband is assigned to cure him.
An emotional battle follows as Dr. Shiva comes face to face with his own wife’s ex-lover. Will Dr. Shiva cure him? If not what will Kala’s stand be if her ex-lover is not cured? “Nettrikkan” would be an eye-opener to reveal how today’s woman is able to face the extraordinary situations in life in spite of her being referred as the weaker sex.
