Our Hunger for Growth Does'nt end Anywhere
A Food for Thought
A perfect food is a blend of so many little features added to it.we are in the process of adding more spice in everyone's life.unlimted meals means unlimited happiness to our tummy.we served Tamil Nadu Thali sometime back."sizzling sambar sadham","rocking rasam","kicking kara kolumbu" , "tantalising thayir sadham", everyone was taking the same dish again and again,we thought of making a difference here and ventured into a different market place wherein we can buy so many other variances. this is an age where everyone looks for expanding and variety(dont assume obese).

Who are we?
Indian Entertainment Industry is going at a robust phase and films do constitute to be the primary raw material source for that Industry. The Film Production and Exhibition sector is expected to reach 5 billion US$ by year 2010. South India contributes over 60% of this Industry size. The Industry is divided into Production, Distribution and Exhibition. Production and Exhibition were so far fragmented, leading to a compression of margins to those segments.
Pyramid, as a business model, is consolidating the Last Mile of Exhibition, which will result in wider presence and more importantly access to customers. Currently, Pyramid is India’s largest Theatre Chain Company, operating with over 371 screens across South India. PSTL has more than 2.41 lakhs of Seats per show with over 44.15 lakhs sq.ft under its operational management. Pyramid is creating a Mega Digital Theatre Chain and plans to be present in 1550 locations across India with over 2000 screens by 2010.
Being the largest Theatre Chain Company, Pyramid is enabled to get into distribution segment, thereby enjoying not just the margins of distribution business but also the ability to cross mitigate the film risk. Pyramid is now increasingly focusing upon the improvement in quality of infrastructure of the screens it operates and also get revenue streams from non-box office segments.
Pyramid has also branched out internationally by the formation of a Joint Venture Company – Pyramid Saimira Theatre Chain Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. at Malaysia.
For the Q1 of FY ’07-’08, the Company’s total Topline for 3 months period from 1st April 2007 to 30th June 2007 was Rs.12,271.43 Lakhs. Correspondingly the EBIDTA was Rs.2334.99 Lakhs. The Profit After Tax was Rs.1600.77 Lakhs and The EPS of the Company for the 1st Quarter is Rs.5.66. Annualised EPS is Rs.22.64
Recently, Pyramid has successfully listed its Convertible Bonds Offering in Singapore Stock Exchange and raised 90 million US$. Pyramid has also promoted Pyramid Saimira Productions Limited to concentrate on film production activity and Pyramid Saimira Productions Limited intends to follow a Hollywood Studio type approach and plans to produce more than 100 films a year.
Pyramid plans to further expand and consolidate its theatrical presence to reach more than 800 Screens in this Fiscal, which might take Pyramid as the largest Theatre Chain Company in the world, with respect to eyeballs and seating capacity per show.
